For the next 2 days, Chennai to have heat waves

The latest news about the weather in Chennai city and its suburbs is for the next 2 days there would be heat waves. For the second day on Monday, 1st April, the suburbs of Chennai were so hot.

It is important to note that in Meenambakkam the temperature recorded was 38.1 degree Celsius and in Nungambakkam the temperature recorded was 34.4 degree Celsius. It is shocking to mention here that northern suburbs like Tiruttani recorded very high temperatures of 40.5 degree Celsius. The meteorological department has pointed out that during the morning hours of time the sky would be partly cloudy and mainly clear afterwards. The maximum temperatures would be around 36 degree Celsius and minimum would be 27 degree Celsius.

Point is the meteorological department had warned about the heat wave conditions in the Chennai city and also in other places like Kanchepuram, tiruvallur, Vellore,Thiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Trichy, Karur, Dindigul and Madurai etc. The important information is on Monday, the temperatures recorded in core areas have dipped when compared to the temperature on Sunday. According to the meteorological department live weather reading for the city, the temperature was at its peak between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm when the mercury crossed 36 degree Celsius.

On Monday also there was heat wave in many other parts of the state of TN.  The information collected is places such as Vellore, Dharmapuri, Karur, Salem, Madurai, Trichy etc recorded 40 degrees Celsius and above also. Places like Coimbatore and Palayamkottai recorded 38 to 39 degree Celsius.
