The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the written examinations to fill up the posts of IES (Indian Economic Service) and ISS (Indian Statistical Service).
65 vacancies of the above posts are to be filled up after the examination. There are 32 vacancies in the IES cadre and 33 vacancies in the ISS cadre.
The interested candidates must be under the age of 30 years as on 1st August 2019. Age regulation may be relaxed according to government rules and regulations.
Candidates who have completed postgraduate courses in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, and Econometrics are eligible to apply for IES posts. Candidates who have completed Courses in Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Applied Statistics are eligible to apply for the ISS posts.
The eligible and interested candidates may apply online with the fees of Rs. 200. Women candidates belonging to all cadres, SC/ST candidates, and differently-abled people are exempted from paying the fees.
16th April is the last day to apply online. In case the candidates are interested in withdrawing their applications, they can get back the same from 23rd April to 30th April. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on 28th June.
