The news that has come out is the city of Chennai on Thursday, 2nd May 2019 recorded a high temperature of 41.5 degree Celsius. This temperature is now the highest temperature recorded in this year 2019 in the Chennai city. The main reason for such high temperature in Chennai was due cyclone ‘Fani’ pulling away all the winds from the land leaving coastal places like Chennai with hot southerly winds.

For the next 24 hours of time, the sky would be cloudy in Chennai city and this was as per the weather forecast. The information collected is this sizzling weather would continue through this upcoming weekend also. It is said that hot winds from the west and southern parts of the land are moving towards the extremely severe cyclonic storm blowing through the coastal regions like Chennai etc.

The important point is cyclone is governing the direction of the wind and mercury touching 40 degree Celsius is highly common in the month of May. Since the year 2010, city of Chennai touched 40 degree mark every year except in 2016 and 2018 is known. It must not be forgotten that on 30th of April 2019, the Chennai city recorded 40 degree Celsius. On Friday, the weathermen had predicted light to moderate rainfall in the isolated regions of TN.
