The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of mild to medium rain in several districts due to the convective rain phenomenon and the southwest monsoon rainy season.
There are prospects of mild to medium rain for the next 2 days in the 9 districts of Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thirunelveli, Coimbatore, Nilgiri, and Theni.
At the same time, in the regions where there are no prospects of rain, the temperature is likely to go up by 2 Degrees Celsius to 3 Degrees Celsius.
The Chennai Metro City will remain generally cloudy. A maximum temperature of 38 Degrees Celsius may be recorded. The minimum temperature is likely to be 30 Degrees Celsius.
