Content enrichment of the textbooks for the classes 1 to 10 has been completed by the SCERT or State Council for Educational Research and Training.

Soon, SCERT would be holding a 5-day workshop for content enrichment of textbooks of classes 11 and 12 too.

For the sake of deputing the teachers for the workshop, SCERT has urged schools to choose 5 teachers from Tamil and English medium schools. It must be noted that the participants are expected to provide suggestions for the enrichment of the textbooks. It is important to note that recently group of teachers visited Andaman for the purpose of the workshop.

A coordinator revealed about the teachers who have presented their experience with the new syllabus. A Physics teacher (who was part of the team that authored the textbook) was of the opinion that the workshop would make them get feedback.

It has been revealed now that at the end of the workshop revisions as well as suggestions would be sent to the SCERT office by District Institute for Education and Training officials. It is well known that SCERT was established in the year 1988 in New Delhi and is the nodal agency for admission, curriculum construction, course conduct, examination etc.
