The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are strong prospects for another cyclone to be formed!
The cyclone Tauktae, which formed recently over The Arabian Sea, transformed from a depression zone into a severe cyclone and then crossed the coast in the State of Gujarat. The cyclone Tauktae caused severe damages in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat!
In this scenario, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has recently informed that there are strong prospects for a new low-pressure zone to be formed over the Bay of Bengal! This low-pressure zone which will be formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over Andaman on the South Sea is likely to intensify into a depression zone over the next 5 days!
Meanwhile, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for another new cyclone to be formed on 24th May! This cyclone has been named ‘Yaas’!
The cyclone Yaas is likely to cross the coast on 26th May at the coastal areas of the states of Odisha and West Bengal!
