Papayas are small sparsely branched trees mostly with a single stem and they belong to the family Caricaceae is known. We all know that papaya fruit has many ingredients such as vitamins like A, B, C and E plus minerals like potassium and magnesium etc. Eating papayas could provide us with some fantastic health benefits. The papaya is rich in antioxidants, less chances of getting heart diseases, anti-cancer properties, fights inflammation etc. Fact is that not many would know that when papaya is consumed in excess amounts then the person would have few side effects ort issues. It is advised to consult the doctor immediately if a person gets the below listed side effects after consuming raw papayas.

Various side effects of eating raw papayas are

Miscarriage in pregnant women:
Pregnant women must avoid eating raw papayas as it would lead to miscarriage. The papain or proteolytic enzyme that is present in raw papayas would be responsible for miscarriage.

Constipation or bloating etc:
Eating raw papapa might be good when it is consumed in the right amount. Excess intake of raw papayas could lead to issues like constipation and bloating. This would be due to the presence of fibres content that would be high in raw papayas.

Vomiting issues:
The latex present in raw papaya could lead to nausea in some persons. When a person eats raw papaya in excess quantities then he or she would have irritation in the oesophagus and due to this there would be vomiting also.

Wheezing issues:
Especially those persons having asthma problem must never eat raw papayas in excess as it could lead to wheezing in them.

Allergies:
It is harmful to eat raw papayas in excess as it might cause allergies in some persons. There would be few issues like stomach swelling plus headaches, rashes etc.
