For the last 10 days since the monsoon began, it has been raining in the districts like Chennai, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram etc. Now, there is not much rain. Since today early morning, there has been heavy fog in Chengalpet and its surrounding places. This has caught the attention of many now.
It must be noted that in the months of `Margazhi` and `Thai` only this type of weather condition would be witnessed normally.
Heavy fog is seen on the Chengalpet bypass road, Kancheepuram Road, Paranur, Mahindra City, Singaperumal Koil, Maraimalai Nagar and on the GST Road etc. As the visibility was very poor due to heavy fog conditions, all the vehicles moved VERY slowly with headlights on.
In the normal scenario, many people would go for an early morning walk, The heavy fog outside has made these people stay in their houses as they feared getting affected by the harsh weather.
In Kancheepuram and its surroundings, there was heavy fog today in the morning. Many people living in these places suffered. Heavy fog was witnessed in places surrounding kancheepuram like Koneripakkam, Enathur, Orikkai, Dhamal, Parandur, Vaiyavur, Chennai- Bangalore Highway, Ponnerikkarai, Iyengarkulam, Punjai Arasanthangal etc.
It must be noted that Ooty like very cold and fog conditions were witnessed and people faced issues to walk on the open roads.
For the last few days, there were heavy rains in Tiruvallur district but today morning there was heavy fog like condition. The visibility on the roads was so low to the extent that the vehicles and people coming in the opposite side of the roads cannot be seen. Motorists faced lots of issues and elder people did not come out of their houses at all. Till 8am, due to heavy fog and poor visibility at the Tiruvallur railway station, many passengers stood on the flyover to know about the trains.
