The Indian rupee has dropped 12 percent low against US dollar making all the imports expensive and companies that are owned by state have insisted to increase the diesel rates immediately to make up their losses. At the beginning of the month, diesel rate losses have reached Rs. 10.22 from Rs.9.29 a litre.
IOC director P K Goyal says that they had forwarded a request to the government to raise the price at adhoc basis and the decision has to be made by government. Further he added that the government has already taken a decision and he cannot comment about it.
