In a move to bring respite to commercial cooking establishments, state-run oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of commercial Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) by up to Rs 57.5 per cylinder of 19 kilograms in the four metros, effective Thursday, November 16. This decision follows a recent hike of Rs 101.5 per cylinder, just days ahead of Diwali, causing concerns among commercial LPG users, including hotels and restaurants.
While commercial LPG prices have seen a downward revision, the prices of domestic LPG have been maintained at existing levels.
Earlier this month, on November 1, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation had revised the retail prices of commercial LPG, specifically sold in 19-kilogram cylinders, with an upward adjustment of up to Rs 101.5 in the four metros.
Here are the revised prices of the 19-kg LPG cylinder in the four cities, effective from November 16:
- New Delhi: Rs 1,775.5
- Kolkata: Rs 1,885.5
- Mumbai: Rs 1,728
- Chennai: Rs 1,942
