The administration of CMRL or Chennai Metro Rail Limited has announced that due to the Cyclone Michaung the CMRL suffered a huge loss of Rs 210 crores. It is well known to us that the cyclone had damaged Chennai and its nearby districts turning the lives of the people upside down. It was later brought out by metro rail administration officer that due to Michaung cyclone the damage has been calculated as Rs 210 cr.
It must be noted that in the first phase that damage has been Rs 15 cr and in the ongoing second phase the damage has been 195 cr for a total of Rs 210 cr. After calculating the damage due to the Cyclone Michaung, a report has been submitted to the TN govt. He concluded that during the cyclone the metro train services were provided to the passengers without any issue.
