Complaint boxes at city schools

The Chennai city police, with the aim of reducing the number of complaints from educational institutions, have provided complaint boxes at various schools in the city. They believe that these complaint boxes pave a way for better communication between students and police officials. The students can feel free to communicate with the police officials regarding sexual harassments that they might be facing in the school or by other strangers.
In general, students do not take steps to complain about such issues due to fear. But, with the new system of complaint box at school, students – especially girls can be safer henceforth.
