Located in the King Institute campus in the busy Guindy locality in south Chennai, Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital or KCSSH was inaugurated by the CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin in June 2023. This hospital is present over a large area of 4.89 acres is known. There are 3 buildings of six floors here having about 20 super specialty departments like cardiology, urology, nephrology etc functioning to help the patients. It is learnt that the cardiology and nephrology treatments have become popular among the patients here. As a result, a paid bed scheme would be launched soon.
The director of this hospital Mr. Parthasarathy mentioned that immediate treatments for accidents and fever etc are being provided for all people and treatment is not denied to anyone here. He added that this hospital has become very popular among the public.
It must be noted that certain patients get mentally depressed on seeing the nearby patients sufferings etc. In this situation, for these patents, separate rooms with beds at cheap cost are getting readied.
These separate rooms would have facilities such as TV, oxygen, air-conditioning etc. In certain rooms, nurses would be available 24 hours or round the clock and they would be working in the rotational shifts. From 31st of January 2024, 3 payment methods namely Rs 1000, Rs 2000 and Rs 3000 would come into effect. For this purpose, 70 beds have been kept ready. The health minister Mr. M. Subramaniam would inaugurate the scheme. Soon, 10 operational theatres would also be functioning here.
