Kudankulam is set ready for power generation from next month

The official website of NPCIL (Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd) has announced about the commercial generation of power by the Kudankulam power plant. Right from the original schedule of the plant which was made on December 2007, the power generation got delayed for about 10 times on the whole. This is now planned to begin next month and a power of 1000 MW will be generated by the first unit of KKNPP.
When enquired to the site director – R.S. Sundar, he said that the delay was due to several tests that were taken to ensure complete safety.
