Southern Railway has announced a temporary suspension of 15 suburban trains on the Avadi route due to essential maintenance work scheduled at the Avadi workshop. The maintenance activities are set to take place from 10:25 pm on February 17 to 4:30 am on February 18.
As a routine practice for railway development works, Southern Railway has adjusted its suburban train services in Chennai. The affected routes include Pattabram Railway Station, Avadi Railway Station, and Moore Market Railway Station, where 12 suburban trains will experience partial cancellations, and 5 trains will be completely canceled at specific stations, running without any stops.
Notable stations where trains will not operate include Korattur, Pattaravagkam, Tirumullaivail, Annanur, Hindu College, and Pattabram. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and stay informed about the temporary alterations in the train schedule. This temporary suspension is part of Southern Railway`s ongoing efforts to enhance and maintain the efficiency of its railway infrastructure.
