Notification released yesterday (Wednesday, 28th February) by the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, Pa. Senthamaraikkannan:
"A dry climate may prevail from today (Thursday, 29th February) until the 5th of March in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions.
The maximum temperature to be recorded today (Thursday, 29th February) may shoot up by 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs may remain partly cloudy today (Thursday, 29th February). The maximum temperature may be 93 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperature may be 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cyclonic winds:
Cyclonic winds at the speed of 45-65 km per hour. As such, fishermen are warned NOT to venture into the sea in these regions."
