The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2024 counselling concluded on Wednesday, with over 1.23 lakh students securing engineering seats. The final round of counselling for Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyar (SCA) students, who have a 3% internal quota, was completed.
A senior Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) official stated that final figures for student admissions across all quotas will be available on Thursday. Engineering seats at Anna University, including its College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), and over 30 affiliated colleges, were fully filled.
Popular courses included B.Tech and BE programs in Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning. However, several colleges failed to fill even 10% of their seats.
