Many trees have started losing their identity on roads with the beginning of the Kodambakkam bridge work. These trees were cut to increase the comfort for repairing and strengthening the bridge which is 50 years old. This is expected to commence by this week and the decision for traffic diversion will be shortly made by the police.

The residents of this locality say that they were not aware of the decision taken by the corporation to cut the trees on roadsides, until when the felling of trees happed on Station Road,  Vishwanathapuram  main road and at Charapani street.
