Enhancement Plans on Vandalur Zoo
An enhancement plan was created by the government officials, which mainly
concentrates the progress of the Vandalur Zoo in the upcoming decades. As per
the discussion with the high officials of the forest department, the first part
of the development plan is for advancing the physiological, geological features
and also the infrastructure of the zoo. The second part involves the needy
steps on collecting more animals in the next few decades.
Periodical
Revision: The plan will be reviewed monthly
in a systematic manner to manage the zoo. Several projects on development which
are carried away are mentioned in the calendar for the future use of the zoo
development and for the new upcoming officers. This also includes the road map
for further review. This plan includes the breeding program in eleven new
species.
New Inclusions:
The construction of the new
cages as per the Central Zoo Authority of India (CZAI) was also under the new
plan. The main importance was given to the rainwater harvesting and the
drainage system inside the Zoo. The Zoo officers endure a training framed by
the CZAI before preparing this plan and it took nearly two and half years.
