Monthly stock-taking in retial shop should not be compulsory - Trader’s association
Tamil Nadu Traders’ Association general secretar, Mr. S.Shunmuganathan presented a petition to the state minister for commercial taxes and the department’s secretary.
The petition explains that there more than 100
products stocked and sold in the retail shops. Also, there is ahortage of hands
to man the shops.thus, stock-taking requires more time. It is difficult to
maintain monthly stock balance in these conditions. Hence, it is requested that
the present system of keeping yearly record of balance stock should be
continued.
The proposal for monthly record of stock
balance should be dropped. The ministry shoule take efforts on more important
activities for the benefit of traders.
One representative for each district should be
delegated for this.
