The Chennai Academy of Motion Picture (CAMP) and the Madras Management Association (MMA) will conduct the Chennai International Short Film Festival ( CISFF) from February 20 to 23.
The organizers have invited entries from makers of short films, short documentary films and short animation films in the competitive section. Each entry should not exceed more than 20 minutes.
"All entries produced after February 2012 will be considered in the competition. The best film will get a cash prize of Rs 40,000. The second will get Rs 20,000," said an official.
The festival will also have noncompetitive sections like contemporary films from Turkey, films from France, films from Estonia, Indian panorama and world cinema.The organizers have shortlisted 138 films so far, according to a press release.
The films will be screened at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Alwarpet and SRM Sivaji Ganesan Film Institute auditorium in Vadapalani.
