To facilitate the public to pay different taxes such as Property Tax, Electricity Bill, Metro water bill, etc, e-service centres will be opened at 10 places in Chennai.
In the 1st stage, e-service centres were opened in 3 Corporation ward offices in Chennai district, 2 offices of Metro water Board, and 6 offices of the Urban Cooperative Societies. Chief Minister inaugurated.
The e-service centres will be managed by Tamil Nadu Electonics Corporation and TANGEDCO.
The e-service centres will also issue certificates such as ‘No graduates in the.family’certificate, ‘deserted by husband’ certificate, Income Tax certificates, Caste/community certificates, and Residential proof certificates.
Other services include attending to Female Child Protection scheme, Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar’s marriage assistance, Dir. Muthulakshmi Reddy’s memorial inter-caste marriage assistance, EVR Manimekalai’s memorial widows’ daughters marriage assistance, and Mother Theresa’s destitute women’s marriage assistance.
This will be of good benefit to the public who need not go to different centres to pay these different bills.
Online payment facilities will be introduced in the near future.Senior officials participated.
