Uniphore, an enterprise involved in furnishing mobile phone applications for companies, has developed this software under the headship of Dr Ashok Jhunjhunwala, an electrical engineering professor at IIT-M.
This software has been launched by the economics offences wing-criminal investigation division of the state police.
While buzzing the mobile facility to 044- 64500155, an interactive voice response system (IVRS) will enquire questions and also the responses will be recorded; each caller will get their feedback within 24 hours, stated by additional director general of police (EOW CID) Prateep V Philip.
The EOW CID has fed the details of nearly about 1,000 NBFCs in the state, which have been caught up in cheating and other criminal cases.
