Training Program for Drivers – Chennai Corporation Steer

Soon Chennai Corporation will be handling an effective training propaganda for its drivers through the Institute of Road Transport, Taramani.
The main purpose of this training is to descent the count of deadly accidents grounds by its heavy vehicles. As of now, Chennai Corporation engaged about 1,100 drivers for its various purposes including conservancy work, health-related works and street lights repair work.
We will also ensure for recurrent medical checkups for our drivers, in order to maintain their fitness during peak hours, says higher official of Chennai Corporation.Via GPS System, passage of Corporation heavy motors will be tracked and monitored easily, civic body claimed.
Last year, the corporation vehicles has claimed in for many accidents including 51 year old man and his 12 year old daughter died on hit by the garbage compactor during November at Sardar Patel Road; 13 year old boy died on hit by the lorry during July at Vyasarpadi.
For the drivers statement on the reason behind all these kinds of accidents is the poor maintenance of the vehicles, the officials said that they will soon put back the new vehicles in place of ten years old vehicles.
