Meru Cabs launched Chennai operations

Mumbai-based cab services provider Meru Cabs has launched its operations in Chennai.
The company plans to add about 2,000 cabs in the city, according to a statement from the company.
"Having successfully operated Meru Cab services across six cities, with more than 6,500 cabs, we are delighted to bring this state of the art travel experience to Chennai," Siddhartha Pahwa, Group CEO, Meru and Genie Cabs, said.
Meru Cab offers facilities like Meru Mobile App with Insta-Pay option, credit card payment facility, the convenience of booking a car through advance website & 24x7 call centre, automated e-bill at the end of the trip, trip tracker service for women safety and track your cab on map.
Meru also follows a stringent driver selection and training process at Meru Training Academy thereby ensuring well groomed and courteous drivers, the statement said.
