City police arrest 518 people on single night

The Chennai city police arrested 518 people in a storming operation on Saturday night.
The operation was conducted across the city on the orders of commissioner of police S George. More patrol teams were formed, and they conducted a special drive against drunk driving.
Twenty four people were charged on sections 109 (security for good behavior from suspected persons) and 110 (security for good behavior from habitual offenders) of the CrPC. As many as 384 people were detained on suspicion while 110 people were arrested for drunk driving.
