On Monday, during the third convocation day of the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) in Chennai, professor M M Sharma, Country’s Chief Scientists has posed the researchers to give up their project on Biodiesel, as it lacks mercantile aptitudes.

Nearly about 81 M.Tech students and five PhD intellectuals have been received their degrees on this occasion. He also insisted to concentrate more on valorization of edible oil, instead of the biodiesel as it has only petite future. It is highly valuable to adapt algae into a worthy product, hence more researches are needed for converting algae to fuel, he whispered.

On the other hand, he insisted the research students to involve in more studies on water and energy and swear to start of the course on technology- grounded economic projects.

Students should always have trust in the power of ideas more willingly than the power of the project`s budget, stated by R. A. Mashelkar, Chancellor of the academy and former director general of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

India should always stands for its innovation, hence the student’s researches should attain first in the world, not first in India; they ought to crack the hard-hitting problems and projects should be game- changing," he added.
