The best food among breakfast items!!

Are you aware about the fact that even 1 cup of healthy grains taken as breakfast is enough to maintain calorie control? 

Though checking the ingredients and recommendations of the grain while buying it, it is recommended that these grains are best taken in fat-removed milk. This is an excellent healthy habit. 

Avoid taking excess sugar. If you still like your items to be sweeter, you can include white fruits such as bananas or raisins, or citrus fruits like orange. Dry fruits are also OK. 

If you take a sumptuous breakfast, to prevents the stomach from drying up till lunch. Even those who do regular physical exercises can benefit by this. This will help reduce the body weight. 

Here is a list of healthy food items: 

Wheat flakes - This is another form of wheat porridge. Wheat flakes can be tried as replacement for the other regular breakfast items. It is better to check whether flakes have been enriched with Calcium before using. Otherwise, there may not be any benefit. 

A cup of oats gruel is excellent especially for diabetics or high cholesterol. However, care must be taken NOT to add sugar in the oats gruel. Oats gruel is rich in fibres helps maintain the sugar level in the blood at a steady level.  

Muesli - Muesli contains ingredients like almond and raisins and is excellent as a breakfast food. This contains extra sugar as compared to other breakfast items, it helps to keep g growing children and sportspersons more energetic. This can be taken with milk or curd. It can be garnished with rich items as fancied and can be given to children in the evenings as a snack.

Gruel - Gruel is also an excellent health food as breakfast. It is rich in minerals and fibre. It checks and keeps the sugar level in the blood under control. In order to sweeten, a bit of jaggery may be added. Or, fibre-rich fruits, almond shavings can be garnished on top.

Cornflakes - Cornflakes contains excess carbohydrates, iron, and vitamin B complex. So, it is excellent especially for school-going children and elders. It is the best breakfast item during rainy days. The excess moisture content helps maintain the body water level. 

Rice flakes - Rice flakes are extensively used in India. It is an excellent moderate and healthy breakfast item. Care must be take to ensure rice flakes are sauteed only lightly. This can be a welcome change for the regular cornflakes or oats. Rice flakes can be taken enriched with the addition of honey, chocolates, or fruits or other enriched grains. Children will enjoy it very much!
