Cylinders that has been booked in March and dispatched in April will not come under the quota of the subsidized domestic LPG cylinders.
Due to the
LPG dispenser delay in delivery of the cylinders, people who have even though
applied on March, will be losing out their 12 cylinder quota for the fiscal
year 2014-2015.
The
subsidized quota of the domestic LPG cylinders will be sourced only on the bill
date and not on the refill booking date, said an Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)
official.
Until
government reveals clear definitions, both the consumers and the dealers will
be in the confused state.
Delay in
Delivery doesn’t stay in hands of the customers and the whole responsibility
lies with the oil companies, stated by a city-based consumer activist.
Captain R
S Jagadeeshan, vice-president of All India Indane Oil Distributors Association
said that the holdup of the cylinders mainly lies in the country side areas.
Customers
whispered that a cylinder persists below a month in a total household of four
members. And hence many families need a minimum of two cylinders a month and grumble
that conveyances are always deferred.
Many customers say that the proper procedures should be followed by the oil companies to avoid illicit departure of cylinders.
