Lord Annamalaiyar temple at Thiruvannamalai will celebrate Chithra Pournami festival in a grand way tomorrow. The celebration of this festival here is among the most popular occasions.
For the festival day, the auspicious time to undertake ‘girivalam’ tomorropw (14th May) is set to start at 1.53 AM and end at 1.03 AM on 15th May. The temple authorities have recommended starting girivalam on the night of 14th May.
On this important occasion of Chithra Poournami festival, more than 15 lakhs of devotees are expected to participate. .
The government transport corporation has arranged 1200 special buses from today (13th May till 15th May. The time-table for these buses is expected to be released today.
