Rise in prices of vegetables due to summer: ginger & drumstick prices reduce

The prices of vegetables in Koyambedu wholesale market have increased due to the severe summer.

Mr. S. Soundararajan, Member, Koyambedu Vegetable merchants Consulting Committee, informed.

Even after the exit of the ‘kathiri veyil period’, the severity of summer has continued. This has affected the growth of the vegetables all over Tamil Nadu, and subsequently, the prices.

The quantity of vegetables arriving at Asia’s largest market at Koyambedu, Chennai has greatly reduced. With the increase in demand, the prices of the vegetables have started rising.

Great reduction in Mango prices in Koyambedu

With more quantities of mangos arriving at Koyambedu, the price of mango has reduced. This reduction is expected to last 20 days.
