Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa greets Muslim brethrens

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today greeted the Muslims on the occasion of Ramzan. Jayalalithaa in her greetings said ``let us on this occasion take a pledge to follow the ideals of Prophet Mohammed who preached peace and brotherhood``.
 
Extending her heartiest greetings to the Muslim brethrens, she also pointed out various welfare measures offered by her government to the Muslims, including provision of 4,500 metric tonnes of rice to over 3,000 mosques for preparing the gruel for Ramzan festival and constitution of the Wakf Board Up gradation Fund and grant of Rs three Crores to renovate and upgrade the facilities at all mosques and dargahs across the state.
 
She also recalled the hike in monthly pension to Rs 1000 for ulmaas and enhancing the subsidy for Tamil Nadu Wakf board to Rs one crore.
