LPG REFILL DELIVERY WILL BE ON CALL, AT EXTRA COST

The ‘preferred time LPG refill delivery` scheme is being introduced by Indane [IOC} and Hindustan Petroleum [HP]   as a customer care initiative in Chennai on Wednesday. The customers can choose the day and time delivery. The time slots for delivery on week days are: 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.; 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The services, but, come at a premium based on the time chosen. Rs 50 will be the charge over and above the regular cost for 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. time slots on week days. The charge for other time slots is Rs.25.

Customers preferring Saturdays and Sundays for receiving the refill cylinders would be charged an additional Rs.25. The delivery would be made between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

If the customer misses the delivery on the scheduled day of delivery, it will be made during the same time slot on the next day.

A discount of Rs.20 on the retail sale price of the cylinder will have to be given to the customer by the distributor in case of delayed delivery under the scheme.
Indian Oil will provide the service up to Ennore (in the north), Perungulathur (in the south), Poonamallee and Tiruninravur (in the west) and up to Kelambakkam (in the East coast).

The HPC would offer the service up to Tiruvottiyur (in the north), Vandalur (in the south), Poonamallee, Ambattur and Red Hills (in the west) and up to Neelangarai (in the East coast).

A press release from IndianOil said customers desirous of availing themselves of the facility are required to register on the respective websites – www.indane.co.in (for Indian Oil) or www.hindustanpetroleum.com (for Hindustan Petroleum).
The release said the scheme does not entitle a customer to get his/her delivery out of turn. A registered Preferred Time Customer will necessarily receive cylinders only on the day/time opted for and they will not be delivered at times other than their preference.
