Special buses for Deepavali: 5000 buses operated

Thangamani, Minister for Industries and Transport has inaugurated the special buses and advance booking counters on occasion of Deepavali.
Deepavali festival is celebrated on 10th November. All the bookings for the southbound trains are over.
Advance booking for Omni buses are also going on in full swing. At this juncture, it has been decided to operate 11,000 buses throughout the state on the occasion for Deepavali. Out of this 5000 buses will be operated from Koyambedu. In view of this, 15 special booking counters have been set up. Out of this, 2 counters will be operated for women and 1 counter for physically disabled and senior citizens.
Bookings for special buses will be done up to 9th November and bookings for return journey will be made until 17th November.
