The central government has taken steps to link the Aadhar card with its various welfare schemes. The central government has made it mandatory to link the Aadhar card with the bank savings account, mobile phone.
Cases have been filed against the above central government decisions and are in progress.
In a different aspect, there are regular complaints the fingerprints in the Aadhar card does not agree with the individual’s fingerprint. This difficulty is faced mostly by the senior citizens.
In order to overcome this problem, the facility to identify and verify the face of the Aadhar card holder is set to be introduced.
UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has informed that the face identification facility in the Aadhar card is likely to be introduced from 1st July.
