Prospects of rain with thunder in Southern Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that due to the formation of a convection phenomenon, there are good prospects of rain with thunder in South Tamil Nadu and some interior regions of the North Tamil Nadu.
With the onset of summer, intense heat prevails throughout Tamil Nadu including the Chennai Metro City. The intensity of heat has gone up so hgh so early in the summer that it is difficult to venture out in the noon sessions.
Hence, it is expected that heat intensity during the peak summer would be quite intense and unbearable.
In this situation, the Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed about the prospects of rain which will help bring down the intensity of heat. There is a development of a cyclonic format in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the region of the Indian Ocean and neighbouring Sri Lankan coastal area. Further, there is a development of convection phenomenon.
The above two developments may lead to rain or rain with thunder in a few places in south Tamil Nadu and some interior areas of the North Tamil Nadu.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy. The maximum temperature will be 35 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 27 Degrees Celsius.
