Many complaints and objections are poured upon the management of Madras University for the hike of Exam Fees from Rs 65 to Rs 100. Students found it difficult to pay this increased amount and so the request for reduction was submitted to the University of Madras authorities.
After several discussions and planning in allocation of University expenses the official announcement has been made about the reduction in fee charges. Now it is Rs 85 for each paper conducted in the exams for UG and PG. Also the practical exam fee had been cut down to Rs 125.
Another update informed the withdrawal of guideship granted to T.Santhanam, Associate Professor of DG Vaishnav College, Chennai. This decision is followed by the complaint about his plagiarized thesis. The University changed the Tiruvotriyur Arts and Science College Principal keeping in account his lack of experience.
