If people belonging to Chennai city feel that Chennai would not get any rains soon, then this piece of news would surely be a big surprise for them.
The news that has emerged now is in the next 48 hours due to cyclonic circulation over south Arabian Sea, Regional Meteorological Centre or RMC has predicted isolated rainfall in the Chennai city. The interior districts of TN where there are rains recently would become little dry as the rains would reduce. Chennai remained dry in the last few days whereas the interior parts of TN received good rains is known to us.
On Saturday, 26th May 2018, Chennai based RMC issued warning regarding heavy rainfall and Chennai is likely to expect rains in the northern parts of city till Monday, 28th of May.
According to Mr. Balachandran who is the director of cyclone warning centre, Chennai spoke about how as the monsoon hits Tamil Nadu light rainfall are expected. He also spoke about how heavy rainfall would not be there in the first week of the month of June. This director then highlighted that the maximum and minimum temperatures in Chennai city would be 36 degrees centigrade and 26 degree centigrade respectively. The sky would be partly cloudy. Scattered rains would be brought to interior of TN by the air circulation off South Tamil Nadu coast.
Pre-monsoon rains would bring more rains to Kerala state and these pre-monsoon rains are expected to be present over Southeast Arabian Sea. As a result the amount of rainfall in the interior districts of TN would be reduced.
Popular weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John threw light on the fact regarding the expectation of IMD. He spoke about how IMD on 29th May is expecting the onset of monsoons. Later he spoke about how in the next 24 hours the early onset of monsoons with heavy rains would be present in southern districts.
