Henceforth, recruitment of teachers without the weightage system

The Tamil Nadu State government Minister for school education, K. A. Sengottaiyan, informed that henceforth, the recruitment of teachers will be done exclusively based on the marks obtained in the written examination and not on any weightage system,
The minister informed that the attendance of the teachers would change over to the biometric mode in a month’s time. The activities for this are in brisk progress. It is expected to be completed in a month. The teachers will have to register their attendance both in the mornings and evenings through the biometric mode.
The ‘weightage system’, in practice so far, has been removed for the recruitment of teachers who wrote the written examinations in 2013, 2014, and 2017 and passed.
Henceforth, depending on the vacancies available, the teachers who pass the written test will be recruited without any weightage factor.
