The southwest monsoon rainy season has intensified. In this situation, a deep depression zone has formed over the northwest are of the Bay of Bengal. As this depression zone is likely to be transformed into a cyclone, The weather bureau has warned the sea waves will be extremely turbulent and stormy.
In a similar trend, another low-pressure zone has formed over the central east part of the Bay of Bengal. It has been estimated that this would intensify to form a deep depression zone. So, the fishermen from Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Odisha, Andaman Nicobar, and West Bengal are barred from venturing into the sea.
In the Arabian Sea, the depression zone formed has intensified. So, warning of heavy rains has been issued for the states of Kerala and Karnataka and the southern coasts of Tamil Nadu.
It has also been estimated that there are prospects of heavy rains in the districts adjacent to Western Ghat mountain range – Kovai, Nilgiri, Dindigul, and Theni.
