WhatsApp launched many new features so far half of the year 2018. Now the messenger platform announced latest two updates that will be added on to the users very soon after testing it on the beta version. Group chat controls and other media hiding features were the latest incorporations of the application. One of the new updates of Mark as read feature is in the testing phase before rolling out to the users.
Now the users can mark a chat as read in the notification tab itself without actually entering into the app for the operation. WhatsApp enabled replying on the notification tab, the mark as read being the new introduction to the same section of notification settings. This new short cut will enable the users of the messenger platform to avoid opening a new window or the app itself to mark a text as read.
Mark as read feature is available in the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.18.214 but cannot be accessed as it was under the testing and development operations rectifying the possible bugs.
Another new feature of WhatsApp is also in the testing phase, mute option accessed directly from the notification panel of the application. So users can mute a conversation or chat from the notification touch without even opening the app. Initially WhatsApp will provide access for the beta testers of this two new feature after the completion of the testing phase.
