Prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that a cyclonic formation has developed over the upper layers in the atmosphere and this has led to the prospects of heavy rain with thunder in 1 or 2 places.
Further, due to the phenomenon of thermal convection, there are prospects of medium rain in a few places in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
There are prospects of rain with thunder in the evening or the night session in Chennai.
