On and off rains will be there in Chennai meanwhile things look damn good tonight and tomorrow for entire Tamil Nadu.

When the circulation is at Gulf of Mannar or adjoining Srilanka coast, the convergence happens in North TN and clouds will be pushed up towards north TN like ripple of water. It is the most ideal location for low pressure or UAC to be stationed for widespread rains in Tamil Nadu.
I cant name the districts with most of the districts in Tamil Nadu expected to receive good rains today and tomorrow. Tomorrow too perfect convergence falls over Tamil Nadu coast so Tiruvallur to Thoothukudi will see rains as we go into the day the western tamil nadu district such as Coimbatore, Erode, Nilgiris, Theni, Dindigul, Tiruppur, Virudhunagar, Nellai, Kanyakumari will all see action in evenings and night, Ramanathpuram, Madurai and nearby districts are in for good rainfall tonight. All in all next two days looks very good for Tamil Nadu.
