The recent update from State Bank of India, SBI reveals the measure of the bank by blocking all internet banking access for the users who have not registered their mobile numbers with bank accounts. The bank will block the internet access from December 1 for bank accounts without mobile number registration.
Visit your nearest SBI branch before November 30 for not losing your internet access. Register your mobile number along with the bank account for enjoying the internet banking services.
Here is a small check list to verify whether you have registered your mobile number with SBI internet banking online.
Enter the SBI official internet banking website,
www.onlinesbi.com with the help of any desktop browser.
Login to the account with your ID and password. Click ‘My accounts and profile’ tab
Select ‘Profile’ option from the drop down menu under ‘My accounts and profile’ tab and then select Profile option from drop down menu under the selected section of My accounts and profile.
Click on Personal details/Mobile option and enter your profile password (It is always different from your login password). The personal details will be displayed with your registered name, email-ID and mobile number linked to the particular account.
If your mobile number is already registered then it will be presented in 98XXX format. IF there is no registered mobile number then it will be shown blank.
If the particular field is blank then you should immediately visit the nearby SBI branch to link the mobile number with the account. SBI will stop the internet access from December 1 if mobile number is not linked with the account.
For those who have not registered mobile number the internet access will only be stopped and other services operates as usual for the particular user.
