Police Department in Alert mode for the Republic Day Celebrations

Subsequent to the warnings issued by the central department of intelligence to be cautious about any sabotage plots planned by the extremists throughout the country, the Police have geared up to be on the ultra ‘alert’ mode to prevent any untoward incidents happening on the Republic Day.

The Republic Day is set to be celebrated on 26th January throughout the country. Rehearsals for the various programmes schedule on this occasion are in progress in all the states.

The Central Department of intelligence has issued a warning that the extremists are conspiring to carry out some sabotage on the Republic Dy. Subsequently, The Secretary of the Home Department of the state government of Tamil Nadu, Niranjan Marty has ordered that the DGP T. K. Rajendran must initiate all necessary precautionary activities throughout the state.

Accordingly, the DGP has ordered all the IGs. DIGs, and the 32 district SPs by a circular that they must immediately initiate all the necessary precautionary activities. Subsequently, 1 Lakh police have been set up on the ‘alert’ mode and deployed.
