All 32 metro stations in Chennai to be linked by Mega Cabs

Metro trains have become important in the lives of many Chennai people these days. The point to be noted is people often struggle to find the last mile connectivity to the metro stations. This won’t be an issue anymore. The news is in another two months of time Mega Cabs would start their operations in Chennai city and by this last mile connectivity to all the metro stations would be provided for the commuters.

According to the sources belonging to Mega Cabs it is clear that there would be above 120 share autos and cars that would be making their presence felt in all the 32 metro stations belonging to the 45km phase-1 network. It is revealed that in another few weeks of time phase-1 project would be completed with the inauguration of last stretch from AGDMS to Washermanpet. The share autos and cars would be extended to all the metro stations soon and this would make more number of people to use this system effectively.

Metro stations such as Alandur, Thirumangalam, Chennai Central and Chennai airport are highly used by many commuters now. These metro stations would soon have four share autos and four cars for the benefit of the commuters. The officials later hinted that all the smaller metro stations would have as many as 3 share autos and cars so that the commuters would be able to utilise them.

It was pointed out by an official belonging to Mega Cabs that discussions are going on with popular companies like Hyundai etc for sake of hatchbacks. He added that once finalisation is over then the model to be used would be known. He hinted about the possibility of starting the services in all the 32 metro stations by the middle of March month. The official finally explained about how the commuters would be benefited hugely by this. It must be noted that once the service starts then the commuters could book cabs from the Chennai Metro Rail app itself. The important piece of information is on Monday, 21st January 2019, CMRS continued the inspection of the metro trains. These metro trains were tested in the 10 km stretch from AG-DMS to Washermanpet.
