It is now said that this upcoming new bus terminus at Kilambakkam would ease the traffic congestion at Koyambedu b y catering to the passengers in the southern districts in Tamil Nadu. The bus terminus at Kilambakkam would be ready in another 18 months of time.
The important point is the size of the land earmarked for the purpose was 88.52 acres and it would accommodate as many as 550 buses plus it would have a parking space for as many as 275 cars and 3582 motorcycles. Another interesting piece of information is the facility would also have ample green spaces and it would be superb. Passenger comfort and convenience are very important and it is clear that these two were considered while designing the bus terminus campus and building.
It must be taken into account that there are public spaces for retail and food outlets. Both modern as well as tradition has been given importance in the construction of the building.

This above mentioned firm has been involved in the constructions of upcoming CMRL headquarters in Nandanam plus the firm has played an important role in building landmarks like Tidel Park, Anna Centenary Library, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium etc.
It is worthy to mention here that the Kilambakkam bus terminus would also have a public lobby, 49 shops,2 restaurants plus others 20 ticket counters,3 transport offices,3 time offices, medical centre, clinic, mother’s room, ATM, 2 store rooms, cloak room, a security/CCTV room,, 6 electrical rooms, control room and 4 toilet blocks.
