In prison but prove to be good students

Inmates of prisons in the Tamil Nadu have proved to be excellent students as many of them have won medals in various exams.
Perarivalan who is on death row in the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination case won a gold medal in Diploma in Desktop Publishing Operator Examination. He is lodged in Vellore Central Prison. His fellow prison-mate Bhavani Singh has won the gold medal in the same exam. He is a life-term inmate.
In Madurai Central Jail, Arunanandam won a gold medal in Diploma Course for Catering Assistant and Veerabharathi for Four Wheeler Mechanism. Kanniappan of Cuddalore Central Prison won the medal in Diploma for In-House Electrician.
