Every day, the number of people getting affected by Corona virus infection is increasing and this inspite the government taking many steps to prevent spreading of this infection from one to another.
Important information gathered is on Wednesday, 15th April 2020, the Union government had declared 22 districts out of total 37 districts as hot spots or red zones.
Various hotpots are Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Erode, Vellore, Dindigul, Tirrupur, Theni, Namakkal, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Thoothukudi, Kaniyakumari, Virudhunagar, Karur, Nagapattinam, Salem, Cuddalore, Tiruvallur and Thiruvarur.
The officials have mentioned that in India as many as 170 districts have been identified as hot spots (red zones), as many as 207 districts as potential hot spots (white zones) and as many as 353 districts as (green zones) by the Health Ministry. It must be noted that there has been no community transmission yet. Important point is as many as 22 districts in TN identified as red zone is the highest in the entire India.
In other states like Maharashtra as many as 14 districts have been identified as red zones and in UP 13 districts. In Rajasthan, 12 districts announced as red zones, in AP 11 districts as red zones and in Delhi 10 districts as red zones.
As per Mr. Lav Agarwal, Joint secretary in the Ministry of Health, the states have been asked to classify those districts which have reported the highest number of Covid-19 cases as red zones, those with less number of cases as non hot spots or white zones and districts without any cases as green zones.
