Lockdown imposition is prevailing in the state of Tamil Nadu as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic. In the last phase of lockdown with relaxations concluding on end October, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy had announced that the lockdown is extended until 30th |November. Further, he had announced that the schools will reopen from 16th November for the classes of 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Standards.

However, there have been reactions from various groups of people that this MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT TIME TO REOPEN! As such, information is gathered that there are prospects for the reopening of the schools and colleges to be postponed further!

Information gathered mentions that the Chief Minister had an emergency meeting with the higher officials of the Department of Education and that the State Government of Tamil Nadu is now reviewing and reconsidering postponing the reopening again for schools and colleges especially considering the coronavirus pandemic spread and the onset of the monsoon rainy season!
